Which would you rather: Challenger Hellcat or Corvette ZR1?
The Challenger starts at $60,000, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
The Challenger is more powerful, with a whopping 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. By comparison the ZR1's 638 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque seem pedestrian.
That is until you recognize that the Hellcat weighs 1200 pounds more than ZR1. No, that's not a typo. The Challenger tips the scales at 4560 pounds while the ZR1 is 3350.
So, which would you rather? The most powerful muscle car ever made, or last generation's ultimate American performance car?
I think my answer is pretty obvious by now...

ZR1, easy. Don't get me wrong, the Hellcat is amazing. But the ZR1 is better.

The Zr1 by a mile... And this has nothing to do with my Corvette love and history. This is miles more attractive than the Dodge. And track day bro'.

The ZR1.

With no experience in either car whatsoever, no hope of ever being able to afford either one, and with a deeply-held bias I was indoctrinated with as a child, I'd pick the ZR1.
Of course if I had that kind of money and/or income for continued costs/payments, I'd certainly consider the new Z06 or just wait and see if GM really is going to do something crazy for a new ZR1.
Again... I have an existing bias.

JESUS WE GET IT YOU LIKE TO ZR1
But yeah, I'd take the ZR1, just because I have to track day.

...Hellcat.
I'll never even get close to the limits in the Challenger, let alone the Corvette. The Challenger is probably more comfortable, has more seats, and unlike the ZR1, can be had with an automatic. The Challenger is more attractive as well.
I love the 'Vette, but the Challenger is just... damn .

This is kind of a toss-up for me. The Challenger likely has a nicer interior (?) and space for four people, and would probably be more livable as a daily driver, and an absolutely insane machine in a straight line. I also prefer the looks.
The Corvette makes a nicer noise, handles better, and is a huge head-turner, even if the C6 isn't my cup of tea.
In the end I'd probably go with the Chally if I had $70k to spend on a car. Factory warranty, it's a brand-new car, makes more sense as a DD, but is basically useless at autocross.
This was a hard one to decide, since I'm a huge Chevy whore and love autocrossing.

The new Z06 is $20k more, and if there's a new Zr1 I bet it's $130,000+

Magnetic ride control though...the ZR1 is actually really comfortable. It rides better than my Sonic in comfort mode

Yeah but I just feel like if you're in the market for even an older ZR1 (and can afford to feed it/enjoy it), something like the Z06 isn't far off in your budget.

Hellcat. I live in Florida, I don't need agility. I need a fast as fuck, well put together cruiser. The ZR1 is only one of those. Plus warranty and better everything, but handling and gas mileage.

Well they built the Z/28, so hopefully a new track-focused Z06 is in the works as well.
